Level UP 45/ Rope Pulls/ Being yourself

Rope pulls are a SOB!

First off I just want to let you know my new program is online and ready to change lives. LEVEL-UP 45 is alive and ready to start some transformations.

I’m real excited for how powerful this program is for people who need to improve their fitness and health but can’t or don’t want to get to a gym.

That being said, let’s get to the topic of the day.

Today’s topic is: Rope pulls, monkey bars, rope climbing and handstands. PLUS, a bonus topic of being yourself in a world that wants you to be someone else..

Starting from the photo above.

That was a part of my training this morning.

Rope pulls are tough, especially the way I did them today.

I looped the rope through the sled so I had to grab two thick pieces in my hands while pulling the sled towards me.

I could have made it easier by hooking up one end to the sled and pull just one piece of rope but I thought I needed an extra challenge today.

About halfway through the workout I had doubts about my sanity.

Then I moved on to the monkey bars and rope climb. I’ve been getting more and more free and spontaneous with my workouts.

Often I don’t even know what I’m going to do when I enter the gym.

For years this would have been unheard of for me.

It’s liberating in a way and also gives me a bit of anxiety. ha

I like to feel in control, with a plan and a definite purpose at the gym. That’s how I trained for over a decade.

Not having a “perfect” plan has me feeling vulnerable, which I don’t like. Who does?! But you know what? It’s good for me.

Being uncomfortable gets us to open our minds and think in new ways.. it allows me to get even more creative with my workouts. IN the gym or OUTSIDE.

Lastly, handstands.

These suckers are tough too. I want to be able to do sets of handstand pushups so right now I’m just working on improving my ability to hold the handstand position without my feet being up against the wall.

Work in progress.

Finally, the topic of being yourself in a world that wants you to conform.

A world that wants you to conform to their standards.

Conform to what they have planned for you.

Conform to what their limitations are.

But you are your own person.

You walk your own path.

The true path for you is not one anyone else can direct you towards.

We have to walk down on our roads. And if there is no road, we make one.. or we find another way.. up, around, through or over..

Always striving to find a way.

It’s a never-ending process. Becoming who you really are at the core. It can be frightening.

Frustrating. Daunting. Challenging.

But in the end, there’s nothing more important than finding out WHY you are here and what path you are supposed to be on.

So I say to you: ONWARDS and UPWARDS! To your best unique self.

Stronger every day.

Never let anyone tell you otherwise.

Keep on finding your own way, no matter how bleak it may seem.. even if no one believes in you or understands.. even if people call you CRAZY and you are left all alone..

It’s worth it.

To find your mission and pursue it with everything you have.

I hope you do.

Thanks for reading.

Til next time..

Keep working on getting STRONG FOR LIFE.
