Pride and Accomplishment- no trophy required

We all have our struggles.

Each one of us has different challenges to battle each day.

What we share is the same 24 hours in a day

AND

our ability to make choices.

Hard choices.

Simple choices.

Choices that don't seem like a big deal.

Our day starts with a choice:

Get up, or hit the snooze button.

All day long we face these tiny moments in time.

To do what NEEDS to be done or to put it off until later.

Step out of our comfort zone or stay safe and secure.

It's not easy to choose the hard path.

Our life is full of distraction, escapes, entertainment..

But the question you and I need to ask ourselves is:

Do I want to be the person who ALWAYS does what NEEDS to be done.

OR do I prefer to stay comfortable and never fulfill my TRUE potential.

Our true potential is not going to be found by staying where we are.

Did you choose to train today?

When you were at the gym did you slack off?

Did you push yourself to do ONE more rep.. one more set.. one more minute of conditioning.. one more round..?

You can find these moments throughout your day, at the gym, home, work..

No one would know if you avoid a small challenge.

But you will know.

At the end of the day, I look back and assess where I can improve.

What did I avoid today?

Did I do what I KNOW I need to DO or did I slack off even a little bit?

This accountability of self is powerful.

You see what you are TRULY made of.

If you don't like what you see, work to improve.

No need to wait for anyone else to call you out.

You can speed up the process of becoming the STRONGEST version of yourself.

Resistance is necessary.

Daily challenges.

Whether that's eating good meals that give you energy and fuel,

or taking a five minute cold shower,

or waking up fifteen minutes earlier,

or pushing yourself to a new level in the gym..

Some days I don't feel like writing.

At all.

But I do it anyway.

I sit down with the laptop and stare at the screen until I START.

It might not matter to you, but if I skip it because I'm tired or don't feel like, I will have to face it at the end of the day.

Never let yourself off the hook.

Yes, we are human. We make mistakes. None of us are perfect.

But we have SO MUCH MORE inside us that we never tap into.

Keep pushing.

Go beyond that limitation we put on ourselves.

When you do, it's one of the greatest feelings in the world.

Pride and accomplishment. No trophy required.

Today is your day.

GO.
