That Feeling of Strength No One Can Take Away From You

The Benefits of Strength Training are Many.

Don't worry, I'm not going to put you to sleep with one of those "TOP 10 REASONS TO LIFT WEIGHTS!" posts.

You already know strength training is good for you, in more ways than one.

But what I am all fired up about this morning is how strength feels.

When you know you are stronger. It hits you suddenly in a moment.

Moments such as : moving a couch. You can grip the furniture so much easier. Your back doesn't feel like it's going to crumble.

Or when you grab your lady to take her to bed. You find you can lift her up without a struggle.

How about when you are shoveling the driveway? The feeling of strength will also give you better endurance for this kind of job.

Or when the woman at the office asks you to lift a huge box because you're the "Strong guy".

That feels good.

Or one of my all-time favorites-- helping someone push their car out of the snow. This is a GREAT feeling of total body strength.

You don't get these benefits of strength by using machines or the elliptical machine.

It comes from weight training.

Barbells mainly.

With some dumbbells, kettlebells and bodyweight exercises mixed in.

Don't listen to anyone that says you are too old to lift weights.

That's total BS!

Get stronger than you are now.

Lift with good form. If you don't know how find a tutorial online or get the book Starting Strength.
