Don't worry, it's not gym class
Remember back to gradeschool.. (long time ago I know..)
The best part of the school day?
Recess!
It was everything gym class should have been.
Kids running around playing games and feeling free.
Then the authorities had to ruin all the fun in gym class.
I don't know what was worse, standing in line to get picked for a dodgeball team or the fitness tests..
I hated those because I couldn't do ANY chin-ups.
Ahh..memories..
Now I talk to a new client about bodyweight exercises/calisthenics and I see this look in their eyes.. maybe you have it too...
A far-off into the distance stare.. like you are thinking oh god, I hated gym class and now you are talking to me about pushups, pullups and jumping jacks..
I get it.
I thought the same thing.
Until I took one month off from all weight training and performed only bodyweight training..
You might have the same idea I had.. how can you get results from strictly bodyweight training?
Wouldn't believe it until I saw it for myself.
The proof is in the pudding, as they say.. hmm who is "they" anyway...
Anyway, if you want to reap the rewards of bodyweight training, there's two options-
