Fitness Myths

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
I bet you have heard that before.

You need to eat lots of whole grains and no fats!  How about that one?

Lifting heavy weights will make you bulky. Lift light weights for high reps for the "TONE".

Ugh..

There are so many fitness/nutrition myths that have become ingrained in many people's minds.

How do you see through the misinformation and find the truth that will help you?

You're busy, so you don't have time to read all the articles, books etc. so you need to find the most important information condensed in a short format.

That's why I'm writing this blog. To help people just like you, by finding solutions and giving you tips that will work right away.

So let's take the breakfast myth, for example.

Breakfast may be the most important meal for you, or it may not be. It really depends. What do you do for work? What kind of breakfast? What is the rest of your diet like? How often do you work out?  Do you have issues with your blood sugar? How much energy do you have in the morning/afternoon/dinner time...

Before giving you a clear-cut answer to this and many other myths, I need a lot of information about you. Then we can decide if breakfast is all-important for you or not.

I have tried every diet plan/strategy under the sun. They all "work" to some extent, in some circumstances and for a certain period of time.

What worked for you last year to lose 10 pounds may not be effective at this point in time.

Having a coach/trainer to guide you can make a huge difference. If you need help finding your balance with eating and physical fitness contact me and we can set up a consult.

You need a plan first. Then you must execute it consistently. 90% of the time you should be sticking to the plan. Then over weeks/months you will see big results.

Make this the year that you get lean and mean.
