Have you ever done something totally crazy just for money?
Of course you have. We all do it at some point.
I'm sure you're familiar with the show "The Biggest Loser" and how most of the participants lost hundreds of pounds only to put it back on again. (or more!)
Why does this happen?
There are a few reasons, like no longer having a trainer screaming in your face daily to "motivate you".. and not having someone to hold you accountable on a daily basis.
But there's also a very important, often-overlooked reason. A key reason why many people fail to lose weight and keep it off.
Your reason.
The reason why you want to lose weight.
Why do the people on the show want to lose all that weight? If it's for a superficial reason (money, fame, etc..) it won't last.
When the goal is attained, then what? Is that all there is? What will be the motivation afterwards?
If your reason (your WHY) is strong enough, it will propel you forward. You won't stop when things get tough. You won't quit after a few months. The reason behind your transformation needs to be a deep one.
No one can tell you what that reason is. Only you know what will drive you to stick with it through the tough times.
If you find a good trainer/coach they can ask you the right questions to help you figure out your WHY.
If you have struggled with consistency in the past, then I challenge you to find a reason why you want to get fit, lose fat, gain strength etc..
