As I ran towards the soccer field, a quick thought came into my head: maybe I should avoid that blazing sun and run in the shade..
I didn't wait another second before I said to myself NO, THAT IS WEAKNESS TALKING.
Go INTO the sun.
EMBRACE THE SUCK.
That's just ONE tiny moment but they ALL add up.
Doing the things you don't want to do, makes all the difference.
Why does it matter?
So when you look at yourself in the mirror, you can honestly say you gave your best today.
There's a feeling of intense satisfaction from doing things that are hard, that most people won't do.
Accepting challenges every day.
Never backing down or taking the EASY route.
Yes, it's difficult.
It's not fun or exciting or entertaining.
But the reward is great. The feeling of achievement that comes from YOUR work.
We all have a different concept of success and greatness.
Yours is probably different than mine.
I believe we are all CAPABLE of MUCH MUCH more than we are currently doing.
If we are to truly succeed and be GREAT in our own way, we have to know how we limit ourselves.
Go within and see where we are weak and how we hold ourselves back.
THEN, start attacking.
Maybe you are afraid of the water. Time to swim.
Hate running like me? Time to run.
Can't sit still long enough to meditate but feel stressed? It's time to sit still and breathe.
Do something you don't want to do every day.
It doesn't have to be working out so hard that you can't walk. Or jumping out of an airplane..
Small moments each day where you have a choice to make: take the easy path or the HARD road?
Make the right choice.
Keep pushing one day at a time.
Fulfill your potential.
You have GREATNESS within you.
